Use flight to escape and teleport if you have to. Attack it from range with homing hand and spells like dark ray if you got enough range. It also helps to distract it with dial. Since you're a chance xelor, you should be able to reduce a lot of the vamp word damage with mummification, so you can also use this if you have to. You might even want to use a weapon with decent life steal so you can get some hp back if something goes wrong.
