Lichen says crit chafer and arachnee will be nerfed? These two spells will be revised to make them much more effective on a normal roll and much less effective on a crit.
Arachnee has the ability to unbewitch opponents, and so this allows some classes to "defend themselves" against others, but it also makes certain classes too vulnerable compared to those who are not supposed to have such an ability to unbewitch opponents.
Trying not to approach the problem from the wrong direction, we can't restore balance just by making the powerful effects more random (ensuring balance by randomly distributing victories would perhaps bring a statistical balance, but nothing else).
As such, the addition of critical hits to these summons was a big mistake and we will correct it.
We will review the summons on a normal roll, and will retain the principle of a "useful" critical hit, but the summons' overall usefulness will no longer depend on rolling a crit.
We will most probably remove Major Arachnee's ability to unbewitch opponents as well as the significant AP gain given by the Chaferfu Lancer.
We will perhaps focus the Arachnee's role on weak displacement (pushing back one cell) and the Chaferfu's role on simple obstruction (more resistance, but with the same random behaviour, which is the spell's principle). With the Chaferfu spell having relatively unpredictable consequences that can turn against its summoner, we will probably remove some of the contraints around it being cast, so that the summon is less "punishing" should it turn against its summoner.
We see these spells as opportunities to add something to the gameplay, by complementing other spells and being effective in combat, but these elemental spells should not significantly disturb the strengths and weaknesses of each class (especially when luck intervenes).
