Public Ranking System

What if there were like maybe 1-20* titles a character can be given under their name either by the people or maybe doing specific deeds via alignment. Sort of like a public ranking system, like if you're known for scamming people you'd be given "The Skeemer" or "The Crafty".
Or if you helped people around town a lot of people ranked u "Hero of the People".

It would have to be a certain number amount of people to rank u as something. I mean sure you could get your friends to personally rank you as "the gobbal slayer"  but over time u could get a different name depending on how many people rank u differently. I don't know if this idea has been said, but it just crossed my mind.

I can already foresee people paying others to rank them different so i'd like for it to not to say publicly that you ranked the person at the time or ever.And you can only rank a person's title like once a month or something and rank 1 person a day.
